Thanks Keith, I definitely go through, and take the 4 minutes to Solo everything I edit, from Beat Detective, to Vocal comps... I've been thinking for a while, to do a "Tips Post" about responsibly checking your work, as I preach it to everyone around me... you've just reminded me ;) Thanks for your Contributions / Ideas, and workflow. THAT, right there, was really my hopes, starting this blog... a "Collective" of ideas, and workflow, from other Producer / Engineers like yourself.

Great blog David. I've never considered employing a gate this way! That's fantastic. I'll be using that.

One thing I do is to employ "fill gaps" without crossfading, then I zoom in and very quickly scroll through and look for any overlapping audio files that would cause a pop. It takes about 2 minutes and I'm confident there are no clicks or pops.

Keep posting man. I appreciate it!

Ya, sadly this one has fallen to the "Retro Files" for those who already have DTM - it has been pulled off Massey's Site, I have been told, by a little birdie, that he is working on something new though.

I hope Massey continues, or releases a paid version. This has completely replaced Drumagog for me... I wouldn't even consider it now.

I hate the new color scheme in Beat Detective. It's all so much more difficult to see and work with then it used to be in 7.4

This is SO much quicker once you get the hang of it, then voice stealing. I wouldn't have thought it through enough to stick with it, or come up with the dynamic transport solution. Thanks for posting this, it's almost cut my comping workflow in 1/2
